“Type II Fun” is what climbers call it when you’re sort of miserable during an activity, but then afterward you forget all the negatives and have rather fond memories of it. (Type I fun is just having fun the whole time, while Type III fun is so bad that even afterward, you remember it being horrible and never want to do it again.) Inspired by a lot of my climbing “type II fun” being related to bad weather, this polish takes the shimmery green-blue of “So far, so good” and adds some stormcloud-like darkness along with holographic shimmer. This formula works best when applied in thin coats, gradually building opacity.
Photos show polish indoors and in direct sunlight.
Note that holographic polishes show their rainbow sparkle best under a source of bright, direct light, such as natural sunlight or a halogen bulb lamp. Swatch photos are taken in direct lighting, with a glossy topcoat, to best show the holo effect. In most holo polishes, there will still be some sparkle in indoor lighting, but the strong holo rainbow effect may be muted or not show up.
